  • Expand the One DECA Calls initiative to enhance engagement and foster deeper connections within the organization.

  • Implement and offer monthly one-on-one support calls with association officers, providing them with personalized assistance and guidance regarding their Programs of Leadership. My intention is to help each officer team successfully achieve their goals, and this initiative would ensure that I remain an accessible resource for you at all times!

  • Establish forums where associations can actively request tailored support on a variety topics, thereby promoting collaboration and shared learning.

Introduce the Ultimate DECA Video Series, a comprehensive resource designed to support new members, chapters, and officers. This series will be published across all DECA social media platforms and includes the following key features:

  • Resources for Fundraising and Chapter Development: Gain insights and strategies to help your chapter thrive financially and organizationally.

  • Essential DECA Information for Newcomers: Learn about the organization's history and acquire basic knowledge essential for getting started in DECA.

  • Guide for Creating Programs of Leadership: New officers will find valuable guidance on how to develop effective leadership programs within their chapters.

  • Tips for Competition Preparation and Event Participation: Get the advice you need to excel in competitions and maximize your participation in DECA events.

Many members feel overwhelmed when joining DECA or starting a new role. They often seek, and find, online resources (like those above) but find that video guides greatly improve their understanding and retention of the material.

Develop comprehensive toolkits that include:

  • Fact Sheets: Highlight the benefits and importance of CTE programs.

  • Templates: Provide templates for letters, emails, and meeting requests to communicate with policymakers effectively.

  • Data and Statistics: Share relevant statistics that demonstrate the impact of CTE on workforce development and economic growth.

Create an organization wide Social Media Campaign for CTE Advocacy - #CTEFORME:

  • Success Stories: Share testimonials and success stories from students, educators, and industry partners to highlight the value of CTE.

  • Engagement Challenges: Encourage members to participate in challenges that promote CTE on their platforms, fostering broader outreach.

Promote ACTE and other relevant advocacy portals:

  • Webinars: Host webinars that educate members about effective advocacy strategies and tools available through these portals.

  • Posting Schedule: Establish a consistent posting schedule to maintain engagement and keep CTE in the public conversation.

Create a submission forum to connect members with resources:

  • Interactive Platform: Design an interactive forum where members can submit inquiries regarding local policy outreach.

  • Resource Sharing: Allow members to share their experiences and tools that have worked in their communities to foster a collaborative environment.
