About

Me

My DECA Journey began my Freshman year of high school, where I joined this organization by complete accident. Now, looking back, I can confidently say that joining DECA was the best kind of detour freshman me could have made.

I quickly fell in love with this organization. Everything just "clicked." My freshman year in DECA was filled with joy, friendships, and personal growth. At the end of my freshman year, during ICDC, I realized that I had found not only what I wanted to do for the rest of my time in high school but also for the rest of my life.

In my sophomore year, I decided to run for Association Office. This was the first time ever putting myself “out there” on such a significant scale. I was fortunate to win, becoming Nevada DECA’s Vice President of Marketing. Serving as a State Officer allowed me to make a meaningful impact on a larger platform, and it truly changed my life.

I had so many goals and aspirations for my term. As Nevada DECA’s Vice President of Marketing, I hoped to use my position to create lasting change in our association for years to come. But as any association officer will tell you, our terms go by fast. I realized that if I truly wanted to accomplish everything I had envisioned, I would need a second term. So, I ran for State President.

After months of hard work and pouring my entire heart into my campaign, I lost. I was devastated. More than anything, I wanted to serve one more year—not just to fulfill my goals, but to continue serving the people of my association. Losing re-election left me at a crossroads: I could either step back from my involvement in this organization or dive in even deeper, searching for new ways to lead.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a DECA Inc. Media Ambassador, creating and highlighting content that captures just how extraordinary this organization truly is. Ultimately, both my experiences and the people I’ve met along the way have deepened my passion for DECA — and it’s that same passion that drives me to run for High School Division President: to continue telling our story, amplifying student voices, and making sure every member feels seen, heard, and inspired.
